Here at St. Peter’s we have many opportunities for you to become involved. Read on to learn about these thrilling and rewarding opportunities that you and your family are welcome to join with us and grow in faith. We have something for everyone!

Youth Group (ages 13-18) This is an action filled Christian adventure seeking group who meet Sunday evenings from 6-7 pm. The group also participates in Christian Endeavor Youth Ministry trips as a group, and has even helped out with Habitat for Humanity! Our teens are not just developing leadership skills based on Christian values, they are leading others to Christ through their actions. For More information talk to AJ or Pastor Bill!

Christ’s Kids Club (ages 4-12) This is the hangout that kids need! Children will have an age group appropriate Bible lesson, which involves games, crafts, and science activities to engage their active age groups. Children are also able to discuss their ideas, concerns, and challenges together with highly-skilled adult leadership, to develop problem solving skills based for today’s issues based on Christ’s teachings.For more information talk to Bethany Pepe or Pastor Bill!

The Redeemer’s Closet (teen and adult volunteers needed) This is a community clothing and home goods give-a-way, held in the Salem UMC building in Slatedale on the Third Saturday of every month. Please check the monthly calendar for dates and times. Volunteers are needed for helping to sort, and organize clothing at set-up, and closing, assist with shoppers as needed, and assist with inspecting and sorting donations as they are dropped off. Food Ministry (volunteers needed for driving to pick up and deliver donations, others are needed to help too) St. Peter’s is able to provide this ministry through numerous volunteers and generous community support. Volunteers are needed to assist with processing of our generous local sponsors including: Giant, Trader Joe’s, Wegman’s, Weis Markets, Whole Foods and more. After pick-up we sort the food in the church social hall (basement) and ready them for distribution through the Northern Lehigh Food Bank. Contact Pat Fritz to learn more.

United Methodist Women– Join our women’s ministry in fun female fellowship! Monthly breakfasts at area hot spots on the Second Saturday of every month, and meeting the culinary needs of our church family are just a few of the things we love to do. We also have a knitting and crochet group, and offer support to the many other groups in the church. Meet the Tuesday before the Third Wednesday of each month from 7:00-8:30pm. Knitting/Crochet/Needlework group meet Thursday at 7pm.

United Methodist Men– Join our men in fellowship as they plan outings for Christ in the outdoors and the local community. They also do an awesome job planning and spoiling all women for the annual Mother Daughter Banquet.

Vacation Bible School– (volunteers ages 13 and up are needed)- Work with the Children’s Ministry Team to plan, prepare and perform this thrilling week-long adventure for our youth. This ministry is in need of group leaders, room leaders, actors, snack helpers, and kids of all ages! Bring your little one or someone else’s to enjoy this annual celebration of God’s love for children. Check out the VBS page for updates on this years theme, donation needs, and how you can help. LifeTree Cafe– Join in thought provoking discussions on real challenges facing society today. This ministry is at 5pm on Saturdays in the Helping Hands Community Center in Parryville. Refreshments are provided. Volunteers are needed to lead planned discussions, technology assistants, and host/hostesses to assist with refreshments.
